Cancellation Policy

When a guest leaves the lodge early, due to weather or fishing conditions, a credit for another trip for the remaining days will be at the discretion of the management. The initial three day package is non-refundable. The only days eligible for credit are after the original three day trip.

Family emergencies and illness will be taken into consideration and treated on a person to person basis.

What kind of clothing should I bring?

Light shirts, long sleeve if you are sun sensitive. Shorts or lightweight long pants. Sandals, a hat, and swimming trunks.The laundry service is free so you do not need to carry a lot of clothes.

What is included in my package booking?

Everything except the following: Imported Liquor, Lures, Tips, Fishing Licenses ($25 USD), Travel Costs to San Jose, Meals in San Jose, Massages and any Souvenirs.

Do I need to bring any fishing gear?

If you would like, you can bring your favorite fly reel and fly line (550, 750, 800 grain). You can borrow any type of fishing rod you may need. Fly rods, spinning, or casting.

What kind of boat will I be fishing from?

You will fish from custom made 23 foot fiberglass open fisherman boats. They are each equipped with 25 watt VHF radios, state of the art fishfinders, safety equipment and powered by 150 HP Yamaha outboard engines.

What form of payments are accepted?

We recommend for you to bring US currency, Costa Rica adds a 13% interest on all credit card charges.

How many hours a day do i fish??

From 6 AM to 11 AM, return for a buffet lunch. Then from 1:30 PM to 5 PM.

When is the best time to come fishing?

During September, October and November we experience dry weather with calm seas about 99% of the time. From January thru March, we experience about 75% dry weather with calm seas, and April, May and June, we're dry with calm seas about 95% of the time.

The rainy season begins during the end of June and it usually rains until the end of August. The rains begin again in Mid November with December being the wetest month. We don't recommend fishing during those times.
